Elisa Thorn is a Vancouver-based harpist, vocalist, composer and teacher.
A graduate of the UBC School of Music, Elisa has built an eclectic career spanning classical, jazz, folk, indie, and experimental music.
Whether playing for hundreds of rapt listeners at the Vogue Theatre, performing at an eclectic jazz festival in Europe, or providing the soundtrack for an intimate wedding ceremony in your backyard, Elisa is equally at home. Years of performing in such varied settings have taught her how to read a room, respond to the moment, and make the music feel right for the occasion.
Elisa regularly works with leading wedding and event agencies including Musical Occasions, V+G, and Wedding Strings International, and has performed at thousands of weddings and events throughout her career. Her extensive repertoire ranges from classical favourites to contemporary pop, jazz, and folk.
Elisa brings experience, versatility, and a genuine love of live music to every stage, big or small.
An avid collaborator and creative, Elisa has been part of many projects and bands, including art-pop group Gentle Party, math-folk duo The Giving Shapes, and free-improvising group Like The Mind. She is currently focused on her solo project, which released it’s debut album in November 2025 and has been nominated for Best Jazz Artist from West Coast Music Awards.
